Midnight post

Waddup. This is me, alive at 1:08am. It's such a rare thing I am still awake past midnight. Have been sleeping rather early even on weekends because school really drains all my energy. Anyway, the weather has been real shitty lately. It's so warm during the day i want to kidnap the stupid sun and hide it somewhere in the refrigerator or under the sea. Even at night, the heat is unbearable some days. Like i don't even need to turn the water heater on when I bathe at 7am in the morning. Yes, you get my drift here. I am just bored and too lazy to lay hands on my work now so imma go take a quick shower and hit the sheets soon. Nighty earthlings!

Lights will guide you home

Hello. This is a delayed post because as usual, i didn't manage to squeeze time out to do a proper post other than the one dedicated to mommy (which i actually did via my iPhone). So anyway, we had mother's day meal last Friday instead of having it on the actual day itself. Dinner was at the Long Beach outlet @ Dempsey Hill. The food was of course good and the ambience was very nice too, seeing how so many Caucasians go there just to enjoy their beer and eat the famous (and huge ass) Sri Lanka king crab. Mad love for seafooooood yums.

Then on Saturday, it was Pioneer's Elemental concert. The thing itself was held at SOTA at 7:30pm, so I met Norah in the late noon and we went to the flea at Scape before meeting Florence and her boyfie for dinner at The Manhattan Fish Market. We all ate like turtles plus the mini belated surprise for Norah took up some time so the both of us literally ran to SOTA from Plaza Sing when the clock showed a quarter past 7. Thankfully we got there on time and everyone was still gathered outside the place in their different cliques. Have I mentioned how dressed up people were? Like really, some looked as if they were going for prom ahahaha no i am not trying to be mean here. Just sayin'! The concert started promptly at 7:30pm, with the symphonic band performing first, followed by modern dance > tamil language society and dance > intermission > Malay language society and dance > choir > finale dance (which was awesome!!) Makes me miss the girls in new town so so much... like I just miss the good old times spent with them during and after practices (ice cream at holland!), yes despite lao shi's never-ending high pitched screaming ^.*

ps/ we weren't allowed to snap pictures nor take videos when the concert was ongoing and that's so sad!!! So here's just some other pictures from that night.

Overall, amidst all the fun, last week had been one hell of a tiring week. I realise I have been complaining so much ever since school started. It's scary to think how fast time is passing by. We are almost 6 months into 2012 now. And I am having my first mid-year paper (GP) next Friday/////slits throat. Yes, it may be hard, but i am truthfully amused by how thoughts like “tsk, why didn't I go to a poly” or “i wanna transfer out of this shit hole” have never occurred to me. Perseverance will bring me far *constant motivation for self*

Other than all the matters regarding work and what not, CCA has finally resumed for us loafers who weren't involved in the Elemental performance. It's a little sad though, seeing how I didn't get to go on stage with the dancers cos I couldn't get the hang of hip hop(YET!) when the audition was held. Missed out on quite a bit of fun I guess. While that can be quite saddening, I am also glad for the fact that I had more time to revise/study thanks to the exemption from dance for a month. Not like I really really camp at home with my notes and study everyday, but at least i had that tiny weeny bit of extra time to rest. Oh yes, and now that the JC2s are officially stepping down, they are gonna elect the new excos (president, vice-pres and all). We only had a day to decide whether we were keen on running for the election. I honestly wanted to give it a miss initially because we had to come up with a 1min free-style dance plus go through an interview. I don't know, I thought that's gonna take up so much time and we only had a few days to prepare the dance. Besides, I am a little worried of the commitment we have to put in for being the leader (judging from my new town's past experience) I ain't complaining about my old-post, just thought studies might be more important now that I am in a jc. BUT! we all know things like this are very unpredictable.. after so much brainwashing from the current dance club's vice-pres, I ended up running for the exco audition. Haha yes I know I am so indecisive sometimes but oh well. Guess what? I took ONLY 2 days to learn part of a dance from YouTube plus add in my own choreography. Oh the madness I don't even know how I did it.... all at home! The dance and interview both went quite well earlier on in school today! Thankfully i didn't make any horrible mistakes. Then again, everyone who went for the audition were..... really good so i just hope for the best. By the way, I was allocated with the last time slot and left school only at 8pm. 12 hours spent in school on a Friday tsk what exactly is the world becoming! Whatever it is, I am truly relieved now that everything's over. It doesn't matter I get a post or not at the end of the day. An experience like this is really inspiring for me.

Okay enough of my daily rantings! and sorry for the lengthy post today. Got to go, Friday nights are my self-proclaimed rest day so imma go do something lame like watch telly or read a book haha bye!
