52/52

Last week (day) of 2014!!! One thing for sure, this year felt like it passed by in the blink of an eye probably due to the 8 months break I had after A levels. It seemed as though the year only started proper after August and then BAM! today is the last day of '14. Has your year been a fruitful one? Did you achieve if not every, most of your year's resolutions? I'm very grateful to say that my 2014, albeit having its ups and downs, felt comparatively better than many other years. This year, even though I was thrown with a couple of uncertainties and had to make some pretty crucial decisions as well as shoulder new responsibilities, a lot of self-discovery was also made and it had me growing so much as an individual. So unlike any other year where I usually dedicate a part of my year-end post to whining like a disgruntled child, I'll spare everyone (and myself) this year. In short, 2014 has been bittersweet. I'd like to embrace 2015 with open arms so please let it be a marvellous year ahead *cross fingers*

Disclaimer: I've decided to throw aside all the unfinished posts that are left behind because I don't really want to start 2015 still talking about old happenings so.. this is going to be the final update of the year! (RIP to all my unfinished drafts)

On the weekend after I was back from m'sia, I had a post Christmas meal with my second momma and sissy at Pince and Pints on Saturday. The place serve only lobsters and it was reeeeaaallly delicious stuff.

Am extremely thankful for these 2 whom I know always got my back.

On Sunday, R accompanied me to do some belated Christmas gifts shopping for my girls. We went to Haji Lane and... naturally I was looking at everything else BUT appropriate presents for x'mas exchange hahahaha what is new? #girls. I found really suitable stuff in the end though and I cannot wait to give them to ma best flends. Oh, R and I also saw a few nice dress/gowns that I could wear to his upcoming commission ball but I tried them on and the sizings either did not fit me well enough or I didn't like them exceptionally (b maybe this is a sign that... I... shouldn't... go? hahaha kidding, I'll be your date even if I had to wear a garbage bag to comms ball)

Mandatory graffiti shot at Haji. Seriously I've always wondered who does all these cool drawings on 'em walls?

Attended sissy's close friend's baby's (wow the amount of apostrophe s) 1 year old birthday bash at Maple Tree Loft after that. Baby Kyler is beyond adorbs! I mean just look at those cute little cheeks and arms and feet and and baby fats!!!!

OH HI THERE *heart eyes emoji*

Had a Christmas/ new year gift exchange session with the DA family yesterday!! I got earl grey & peppermint tea bags and walnut cookies from Ashlyn Anne. It was acceptable I guess, some of them got a bar of Hershey hahahaha. And that H&M gift card should have been mine, damn itttt.

WITH ALL MY LOVE,
HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE GUYS.

December 30, 2014

6 days of Clara

It should 7 days in fact, since we went to the Zoo on a four-ple date the day before we flew off but I'll leave that for another post! To continue from where I left off in Malaysia, this is going to be a summary of the 6D5N in homeland with Clara.

Disclaimer: this post was drafted on the 22/12/2014.

Day 0: we took an 8:50pm flight on a Sunday night and were bound for my second home (one of my favourite-place-to-be to be honest).

Starting from this one, I think I can count the number of (ab)normal shots Clara and I took throughout this trip.

Don't everybody love the view you get to see from the plane!!! It doesn't matter if it's a day or night view, I could stare out of the window for the longest time if no one (hint: Clara) disturbs me.

Since we are on the topic of plane rides, I feel a little perturb about all that's happening to the various airlines as of late. 2014 seems like a really unfortunate year for the aviation industry. Ever since the first incident of the m'sia plane MH370 going missing this year, I find myself saying a prayer in my heart before the plane I'm on takes off every time. I've never done stuff like this before because frankly on a personal level and not meaning any offence, I've never believed in stuff like praying. I'm not sure if it even helps at all but I guess little things like this does give one if not all, some peace at mind once in awhile.

Yep so digression aside, our uncle's friend who is a driver picked us up at the KLIA after we arrived and it was about another hour car ride back home. Went straight for supper at the usual family place and knocked out way past midnight on day 0.

Day 1: we didn't do much on the first day cos we slept in to kick off all the exhaustion. Went to the mall to catch a movie along with my younger 16 year old cousin (who apparently looks more matured than I am at times according to many people) and my aunt who drove us everywhere hehe *hugs*

Having 'high tea' before our movie started.

And sipping Starbucks not no secretively at Secret Recipe hahaha so much pun

Bought masks home to pamper our faces at night and that about sums up day 1.

Day 2: went to Sunway Lagoon today. This place has four different theme parks with different elements for each. In short, it's just like Singapore's USS and Adventure Cove combined together buuuut I think sg win hands down! The lagoon in m'sia has very few water rides and only 1-2 were really thrilling so I felt it was just so-so overall. Nevertheless, it's still the company that matters. Been too long since we had proper cousies-time :)

P.s. we didn't really take a lot of pictures since we kept all our belongings in the lockers shortly after we reached the place.

Got home and had some quality time with granny at night. My popo's cuter than yours!

Day 3: it's x'mas eve today guys!!!! x'mas is always such a joyful occasion. Had dim sum in the morning and went to Jusco to do some last minute grocery shopping because my eldest cousin is hosting a barbecue at home!

Went straight to the night market after grocery shopping before heading home. I love love love street food (probably said this a thousand times). This parsar malam is the second biggest (in terms of the length of all the stalls that stretches across this entire main road) in Malaysia and they only open on Wednesday. I'm so happy we went because the last time was... I can't even remember!

Stuffed my face full with so much j...u..n...k food but IS OK.

Brought our neighbour along with us, she's such a cutie pie.

Then we came home in time for the barbecue. We had alcohol in the house and it's pretty obvious who turns red the most easily after some drinks eh? (hint: letter C)
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE ERRRBARDY! x

Day 4: today is D-DAY according to Clara. We went shopping!!!! And frankly speaking, nothing beats retail therapy for girls.

and video called ray ray at night (who's reading out loud his special x'mas card from me, there's no such thing as shame man)

Day 5: last day here and it was a rather chill day for everyone! Went out to eat bak kut teh (legit good stuff no joke) with the fambam, then proceeded to do some potted plants shopping for the house. After that, Clara and I went to get our nails done and that's basically our day.

Our friendship in 2 pictures:

Matchy matchy shirts sissy got for the cousies from Bali

Time to go home!!!

Our definition of a 'decent' picture yup that's right

till 2 months later homeland!
