A YEAR CHANGES YOU A LOT

Very apt title for my year end post.. except I don't really know what I want to pen down to sum up and bring 2015 to a close because in all honesty, there is just so much to say no? A year is not a very long time, but I suppose it is long enough for enough changes to take place. Minor or major, changes that shape me into a different person each day, well kinda. You get my drift right! I'll keep this post short.

As 2015 draws to a close, instead of coming up with new year's resolutions for 2016, I'd just like to remind myself of some things that should remain constant in the upcoming year, and that is to continue living in gratitude and be thankful for all the little things. This year hadn't been the best. I mean seriously, how do you determine what is the best? But I'd say that I've reached a point in my life where I feel really content. It's nothing fancy, I just... live. I have a few groups of people in my life I know I can rely on. I have an amazing boyfriend and family who loves me. I have a roof over my head in a very safe place. I have food to fill my stomach. I have a lot of fun. Even though it is a scary thought that for all these comfort and happiness, it comes with the fact that I also have something to lose.

Being the last day of 2015, I've been thinking a little bit of this, and that, and perhaps of life in general. Every new year, I ask myself the same thing. Where to go on from here? I know I will just keep doing what I do (mundane, I know), but I don't want to keep living and then simply forget, start taking things for granted.

To sum up, I hope that in 2016, as I live each day as it is, step by step, I'd get so much more by living in each day and be able to grab opportunities or perspectives from these very moments.

Here's to yet another year! May 2016 be a fruitful one for all of you.

LOUIS VUITTON SERIES 3

This might just be my last post for 2015, who knows. Always doing backdated posts now ah, but I'll forgive myself because let's just say I have been busy living in my days, and the moments. Last week I visited an exhibition with Claire and it's none other than LV series 3. For a non-ADM student like my artsy fartsy friend, I must say I found the exhibition pretty impressive, albeit small scale. Not exactly small scale but how should I put this, it was like looking at minimal exhibits within large spaces. Anyway, we had fun wow-ing at various display as well as laying hands on free LV stickers (RIP sooner or later my MacBook cover).

While I've been indulging in all sorts of fun as of late (even lazing at home with R watching movies and him play computer games end up being very amusing sometimes), my 2 weeks December break is sadly coming to an end. It's back to lectures, dance practice and work next week!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

About 2 weeks back, R and I visited Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay. As expected (from tons of Instagram posts from other people), the lights on display were magical I could really look at them f o r e v e r. Not to mention with all the Christmas carols playing in the background, a fairytale-like Carousel, carnival game booths and it being packed as hell, we sure felt the Christmassy vibes.

We stayed till 10+ pm and thankfully by then, the crowd had dispersed so we managed to get a picture with no one photobombing us in every single shot.

On Christmas Eve, I had dinner with the 3 most important ladies in my life. We dined at one of the restaurants - Brussels Sprout - at Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove. I worked an event job at W Hotel once, which is just round the corner from the Quayside Isle and I remember how I thought to myself that this place is just so... calm. And peaceful. The residents who live there must really be living the life, away from the hustle and bustle in the city. I could use such serenity once in awhile. It was very relaxing watching people walk their dogs or just take a stroll/cycle by us as we had dinner.

We spent the night at Hard Rock CafĂ© counting down to Christmas and that's about it. Christmas Day itself passed by with R and I lazing at home because the poor (not so) little sick fella was still half recovering from food poisoning after our trip back to Malaysia for my uncle's wedding. So this is a day late but, I hope whoever is still keeping an eye on this space had a jolly Christmas with your loved ones. I still can't really grasp the fact that 2015 is drawing to a close in merely five days. Wait for my year end post! (if I have the motivation AND inspiration to write)
