January 27, 2013

I wanted the whole world, or nothing.

Sunday always calls for a blog post, be it long or short. Today is the 27 January, weather: cloudy sunny. In 4 days' time, we bid goodbye to another month, yet again. I knew time was going to pass this fast in 2013.

Life, which mainly revolves around school, has been  s o  d a m n  h e c t i c. I can't even find a word to describe it properly, hectic is an understatement. It's like a routine where i sleep/study/eat/dance/sleep/study/eat/dance.

On Mondays, I stay in school to do math after dismissal.. no matter how much i detest math, i need to keep pushing myself because it's my h1 subject that i am going to take for the A levels afterall.
-
On Tuesdays, there is dance practice for the upcoming chinese new year performance. It's kinda different in a jc, because we don't get to rely on any instructor but rather, we have choreograph our own dance. Though it's pretty time consuming, i hope all the efforts pay off.
-
Wednesdays are the shortest school day and possibly one of my favourite day (other than Thursday) where we end at 1:30pm and have dance practice for syf from 2:30pm-6pm.
-
I seek comfort in that additional hour of sleep i get on Thursday because lessons start an hour later than the usual school days. And even though we end the latest on Thursdays, i don't feel as cranky because the extra sleep i get means that much!!! Hahaha funny but true. Additional practice session for syf starts this week, which means the dancers only get to leave school after 8:30pm. We'll see how it goes.
-
Fridays are, well, generally okay because i don't have to worry about getting home late and completing my work and all since it's Saturday the following day. But having the last lesson after a 1.5 hour lunch break is simply annoying. The school should really do something about our timetable.. Apart from that, i think Friday is really the day where most of us just relaxes a little. The dancers literally go crazy on Friday's self practice sessions.
-
On a side note, the fact that there are no more mother tongue breaks in between lessons now just makes every lesson feel even longer than ever. 1.5 hours' long tutorial can get quite dry on some days and it takes so much will power to not doze off in class. Then again, i ain't gonna whine like a baby. Gotta hang in there and survive this 10 months well!!!
-
I look forward to the weekends every single damn day oh my lord my Saturdays & Sundays, sleep is all i can think of. I really miss going to Berries on Sundays though, but time doesn't permit me to do so. Just let this year be over already.

That's pretty much how i feel every day. Though there's a lot more going on in school, i don't really wanna talk about it here so.......... School aside! i can't wait for new year and March to be here! I know it's still some time away, but i like how there's something for me to look forward to every month.. at least it keeps me going. I really love how my birthday always falls on that one week of March holiday. Can't wait for bangkok with momsie and sissy can't wait can't wait can't waitttt to get to shopping paradise nyehehehehe.

TILL THEN, X

A sense of responsibility, some people just don't have it.

January 06, 2013

it's ridiculous because i don't usually get hooked onto a kpop song for long.. but lately ze:a's aftermath & phoenix have been on replay so often.

i can keep watching the dance cover over and over and over again

on a side note, all these youtubing has to stop because school is starting tomorrow (oh the horror how can 6 weeks be gone like this). regardless of how much i dread a new term/semester, i have to face the fact that it is my a level year and i bet 2013 is going to pass by even faster than 2012. time to buck up adelene! let's get the ball rollin'

January 01, 2013

happy new year

2012 marked a significant change in my life, from entering a junior college to meeting new people, opening up to opportunities, forming new relationships, all these regardless of good or bad, they've led me to come a long way. in 2012, i learnt a lot. i learnt that things don't always go my way, i learnt that people come and go, and i learnt to rely on myself.

and here we are, 01/01/2013.
on the start of a year like this,
i pray for my family to stay safe and sound,
i pray for a healthy aunt carol,
for my friends to have a smooth-sailing year,
and for a happy me.

it's going to be a tough & major year but,
i would fulfill more things,
i would make 2013 a fruitful year,
i would not disappoint people,
and most importantly, i'd learn to be more contented.

this new year's eve feels like it is one of the most simple one out of so many years; i spent with a close friend on a night like this. come to think of it, where did the gang disappeared to? beats me. i don't even have the energy to think about it anymore. just going to open up my arms wide enough to embrace 2013.

am extremely grateful to be able to travel a fair bit in 2012, thailand(hat yai) in june as well as the recent japan(hokkaido) & china(shanghai) trip that i just returned from. what more could i ask for than my family?
