September has been an overwhelming month for me so far. It was almost (half) a month of tears, not just for the bad but good things as well. I won't dive into the reasons here but I'll just remind myself that tough times don't last, tough people do.
With [ALL]titude III having come to an end, it's safe to say I've also paid all my sleep debts accumulated over the past few weeks. It's crazy because if you know me well enough, I need PLENTY of sleep to survive and this entire production period has seriously deprived me of sufficient rest. But all's good now, I feel like an enormous stone has been lifted off my chest, mainly because we survived this production and by we, I mean my pillars of support in dance — the EXCO committee.
Thankful to have met this bunch in SIM, especially the girls. The amount of shit we went through to get things done and the bitching sessions that follow thereafter.
Side note, I'll be flying to Sibu, Sarawak next week for 6 days with some of the club dancers for the Sibu International Dance Festival and I'm pretty much thrilled about it. DA will be performing 4 items alongside many other dance troupes from around the world like Taiwan, The Philippines, Korea and even USA etc. All administrative matters aside, boy I bet it's going to be an eye opening trip for many of us.
Side side note, first day of year 2 began after a long and busy summer break and I'm done with my first week of school today! I can't say I'm loving it but at least I stayed attentive (and awake) throughout my first 3 hours lecture of the week. Long way to go *pats self on the back*
Okay, enough blabbering. Pictures from production week:

I love how a production like this brings all my friends together for me. I can't even begin to say how thankful I am to have those who went to watch me perform on stage.

| Thanks for coming way way way early before the matinée even started. |

Priscilla and Crystal. Pris' mom was my nanny from Kindergarten 2 till Primary 4 so she might as well be one of my first few friend in life haha you know how you guys don't remember any of your friends before K2 right? Right.

My M'SIA ZHA BORS (our whatsapp group chat name) cos we like to cross the border together for cheap thrills like mani/pedi and the delicacies!

Jacelyn and Shirlyn, also one of the few friends I still keep in contact with from primary school.

Claire and Ame came for the 2pm show as they couldn't make it for the night one with the rest of B&H. This is one of my fav. pic of us (p.s. Claire is shorter than me when she has NO heels on)

All the spare time we had in between the first and second show. Snap snap snap.

Mutual friend! Jiayee was my dance senior in PJC and she happens to be a friend of my dance senior in SIM now. Sg is too small. Janice (Lee) my counterpart in DA, Janice (Low) our previous club advisor who's already left SIM and on the extreme right is Tee Yien, Dance Art's founder and 1st club president. |

Team Kibun- the zen piece (if you watched the production and get what I mean). This was one of the most challenging item I've ever done, not because it was physically demanding but the fact that it requires a lot of inner peace and concentration makes it tough.

DA FAMILY WITH ALMOST EVERY BATCH.

Team MOO MOOs- because the costume we were wearing underneath the white knitted pullover has black patches on them. It was supposed to produce a 'dirty feel' but we turned out to look like.. yea you got it right, cows.

Kimberly & Shunjun!![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Saving the best for the last. I know we've had a couple of rough patches throughout this period but I'm glad we always make it a point to make our bickering last less than a day by talking things out. And I guess what's most important is that through everything, it has brought me closer to you. |
