The first week of February has been rather hectic.. mainly because I have so much on one hand (i.e. my studies) but on the other, I am also trying to juggle between dance, work, having a social life and being a girlfriend. Gosh. Nothing in life ever comes easy right????? It's like each time I have a busy week coming up, I have to brace myself and tell me it's going to be alright; it's just another packed week out of so many others in 2015. And like all previous times, I will get through the week either way. And then I will be here complaining on myprettytryst (to all of you who doesn't mind reading about my day-to-day life).
So on Monday, it was sissy's birthday! Being the annoying sister that I am, I had to remind her that she is another year closer to hitting the big 3. I still feel amazed from time to time how well we get along despite the 8 years gap between us. You probably won't be reading this, but happy belated birthday jie. I honestly wish that you would get married soon so that I can have a little niece or nephew to 'ooh' and 'aah' at. No matter what, I hope you'd always stay happy and continue being one of the greatest guidance in my life. I love you, to the blood sista I never had.
please excuse my post dance messy hair and tired face
On Tuesday, I had my final lecture cos we're going to have our study break!!!! So my BMGC lecture mate Felicia and I decided to have some good food at Holland Village before school. Wanted Breko but it was undergoing some revonation urgh. Side note, does everyone EXCEPT ME knows that Hatched has closed down (not sure temporarily or permanently) because the owner went missing for a while!!! Now what is going to happen to all of my favourite eggs and mashed potato cravings?!?!!?!?!
Guess I'd have to make do with other things for now (ANY food would suffice tbh). Like this Har Jeong Kai burger from Everything With Fries. It's rare but glutton of a Adelene couldn't finish even half the fries on plate. EWF yo fries' standard haz dropped to a low low low low
hola 7 weeks study break starting this week!!!
On Wednesday, I met the new town (gossip) girls for dinner at Newton Circus. Kinda like a farewell dinner gathering cos Shafia is leaving for Aussie next week for college. Feels like a lot of people around me are slowly getting out of Singapore lately.. oh well. We decided on having local food because who wouldn't miss sg food while they're overseas right?
Things never get old with this bunch, like literally. Our conversations mostly revolve around the same things but each time, it feels like we're gossiping about something new hahaha how is that possible.
On Thursday, I had my last driving lesson. Also tried to do some cny shopping after that with my momma no.2 then I went over to the real momma's salon to dye my hair. Haha am I being confusing with the momma game yet?
Reeeaaallly wanted this jumpsuit but they didn't have it in my size sobs! Gonna embark on mission-hunt-for-jumpsuit when I meet SJ next week
Does my head looks prosperous enough?
On Friday, I went for my practical test and hallelujah I PASSED with 10 demerit points despite having to overcome some crazy nerves at one point in time. Whew! Rushed down to meet 'em ntss dancers again after that. When it comes to new town, I always reiterate the same words. It will eternally have a place in my heart, just because. It really dawned on me how much time has passed when I stepped into school and none of the faces stood out anymore.. except maybe this one
老师 is 8 months preggers and still teaching dance, this woman is seriously something!!!!! If I were to have a 8 months old foetus inside of me, I don't think I'd ever want to do anything productive unless rotting in bed counts but yup, that's beside the point lol.
Left school and had laksa craving satisfied at Queensway shopping centre with my cutie after that. Then we spent the next 1 hour or 2 combing every corner of IKEA. It's a fun place to go to every other few months when all the showrooms are being refurnished. I feel so happy being surrounded by pretty furnitures and of course having the right company plays a huge part hehe
unintentional matchy matchy
Satu(r)d(ay)s <see what I did there????> are one of my favourite day of the week now even though our weekly saturdates have somehow evolved into extremely lazy days at home because we both suspect our honeymoon period has passed hahaha oh shit. Then again, it doesn't kill to just chill at home, eat in bed while catching up on TV series together right. Speaking of which, it's a lot easier now that R has commissioned and we get to spend time together even on weekdays. It does help to have an understanding bf as well because of how crazily mad my schedule can be at times. (bao I know in actual fact, you must have the strong urge to strangle me each time I tell you I have this plan or that plan but I really appreciate it that you'd say "it's fine babe, I understand" instead *hugs*)
Sunday was Berries day! I've stopped complaining about having to wake up at 7am for work because well, the kids do make my day and it's more than enough to put an end to all the complaints. After work, I met HG for dinner at Star Vista. Lisa is back in town for summer break but then she'll be returning to Sydney soon. See what I mean about everyone being away from sg now??? Ugh.
4 girls together and what you get is photos at every possible place because "we have to do it till we get an insta-worthy pic". So did we?
Right, so this about sums out my week 5/52. Time to hit the sack and brace myself for another week ahead!
