Guess who shifted house over the weekend? Ah I can't quite describe this feeling but to put it simply, it feels nice being all settled into the new place. Meanwhile, my mom and I are getting ourselves accustomed to the bus routes in the new hood, and really just trying our best not to get stranded at god knows where. Only first week in, I've already ran into familiar faces near my house (that's how small Singapore is!) Some pictures to document down this memory of our house while everything is still nice and neat.

| Once you enter the main door, on its left is the kitchen (a.k.a my mother's obsession) and service yard. On the right, is the bomb shelter/ storage area; also where our built-in shoe rack stands |

View when I sit on the couch, facing me is my parent's room and mine is on the right. Directly opposite my bedroom is the common bathroom. |

This corner is my favourite hideout for now *heart eyes emoji* especially when night falls, or when I turn on the bed side lamp (that R bought me for my birthday!!!) right before I go to sleep. The light is a very warm shade of orange and together with the air conditioning, it does makes me want to nestle in my blankets, forever if I may.

| And the furry IKEA rug too asdfghjkl it's so soft my feet can't get enough! |
My view every morning from now onwards. This was taken on the second day after we shifted and it felt surreal because I HAVE MY OWN ROOM AGAIN AFTER... 12 YEARS? After my parents separated when I was in primary school, I started sleeping with my mom ever since, so can I just say I've gotten so used to having her (sometimes gently snoring/ breathing) by my side for the past years that it feels odd sleeping alone all of a sudden. Nevertheless, I am definitely taking pleasure in having some privacy to myself and also, hur hur hur, sleeping in unglamorous positions and
NOBODY GETS HURT.
Friends who've been to my old house would know that this new place is clearly smaller, probably only 1/2 the size of my old house but I ain't complaining. I think the space is just right for my family of three and overall, it gives us the feeling of comfort which is what truly matters. For now, our white walls are still looking a little bare and we can't wait to find the right pieces to hang up.
One of the things I love the most about our home is the abundance of sunlight we get in the day, which helps in giving the illusion that the house is more spacious than it is. Also, since we are located on a lower level, we are greeted with greenery every time we look out our windows, . Now I think I can do that study-for-50-minutes-and-gaze-out-of-the-window-for-40-seconds thing. Trees please bless me with better eyesight thanks.
