“I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it fullspeed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all, become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good.” -Roald Dahl

The hardest part about blogging is probably having to come out with a post title, well at least in my case... I realise I am always cracking my brain for one and I refuse to start on my entry before I think of an appropriate heading (haha I think people might just feel that it is the inner OCD freak in me). But anyways, the solution to this is: quotes. Ah yes, relevant ones, interesting ones. Like today's.

Enough with the weird start about post titles and let me get back to my intent for this entry. I just wanted to update you all a little on what I've been up to, the more exciting things at least. There also won't be any dance related stuff today because I've already drafted a "elemental journey" post and I'll share it once the concert is over (which is just 5 days away oh, my, god.) For now, let me just move on to the main point where I should let the pictures do the talking because my brain wouldn't process properly what my fingers want to type.

1) basic military training (bmt) graduation parade of our army boys on 12 april. The day started out good, except maybe the part where I had to climb out of bed at 5:45am and get ready, so yes I am referring more to the weather. It wasn't sunny at all BUT it started to rain when the march began and everyone had to put on ponchos. Screw you weather I thought I praised you! Nevertheless, all went well after that and I feel so proud of my boys (even though you all stink so bad from the road march) hehe

2) a little catching up with my twinnie, over good food (when there's bread & egg, there's me) and adventures on a saturday which is rare (because i originally took leave from work to attend dance rehearsal but it got rescheduled at the very last minute tsk). Whatever it is, thank god for one saturday of sleeping in because it has seriously been ages since i got to do so.

p.s. I think I'll always love the Tiong Bahru estate no matter what.

That's about it. Like I've mentioned in my previous post, April has been crazily busy! In between all the running around from work to dance practices/rehearsals, staff trainings and settling lots of admin stuff, I am glad i found some time for a little fun amidst the stressful days. Looking forward to the arrival of May already. Cheerios to all you people out there and I hope your April was fulfilling as well.

“Don't stop when you're tired. Stop when you're done.”

Hola, here's a little update amidst this busy month. It's the second week into April and I am seriously (not) anticipating an extremely busy month ahead. On top of work and the usual alumni dance practices, there's going to be a lot of rehearsals going on since the Elemental concert is happening in less than a month's time. Rehearsals with the school are going to take up plenty of time oh my god I can't handle the way it works. The school committee is kinda retarded in this sense. There are also part-time teacher trainings that I am required to attend for work and then I've my driving basic theory test to study for as well. It's so packed the thought of everything turns me off a little. Juuuuusst aaaaa liiiiiiiittle but I hope I'd manage my time well enough. It's so difficult to meet up with my other friends because all I see errrdays are my colleagues or the dancers. Ahhhhh I think it's apt to say that I am bestfriend(s) deprived as well. Need some girly day out with my girls so that we can just talk about.... life.

So umm, to keep this rather boring place a little more lively, here are some overdue pictures from chinese new year that I managed to retrieve from my cousin's whatsapp group chat (which explains the not so good picture quality) so!!!

On a side note, I am attending the army boys' passed out parade this coming Saturday (I just realise it's tomorrow lol), which is a little something to look forward to. Bet I'm gonna feel like a proud mama or some sort when I see them march ha! Am also excited for a second round of concert costume hunting with the bimbos, albeit it always turning out to be very exhausting.

So hopefully May would be less hectic when most of the things are over!! My family has been on a discussion about going on a getaway trip to Taiwan with my extended family and I'm actually pretty psyched out about it! Will be back with more to share soon xx
