Lights will guide you home

I know i said i'll be back after 10 days but! against all odds, i had to spend my first week of the exam-free days catching up on any possible dramas/variety shows (mostly We Got Married) that i have been missing out on since late August. i was also back at granny's place for a short half-week, someone tell me where can i purchase a better life hehe. i still can't believe the promotional examination is officially over, it feels slightly surreal. this only goes to show that i survived the past 10 months of junior college life. 10 frigging months i can't even. *pats self on the back* even though this journey that i have decided to embarked on right at the very beginning of the year hasn't been exactly smooth-sailing ever since, i am glad i learnt so much in between the ups and downs. this is a part of growing up isn't it? falling down but getting up again and giving your utmost best. well, i wouldn't say i am very confident for promo's results though, but whatever it is, am glad that all is over. just let me be promoted safely and i'll be mugging my ass off next year. which reminds me, this year end holiday will be the last i can play till i drop before 2013 commence and before the days to A levels creep nearer.

currently, all that the j1s have to worry and get frustrated about is project work because that's what we are gonna focus on all the way till 14 november (that's where the real fun begins!!!!!!). for now, our timetable is literally filled up with pw, pw, pw, pw, pw all in one day. if this isn't called hardcore, i don't know what is. then again, at least promo is over and we need not constantly worry about having to juggle studies and project work at the same time and being afraid of jeopardizing either one. pw has been such a tedious journey i swear, you can easily tell from how i rant on almost every post about school. today my group got back our written report draft 3 and on it was a post-it which says "An improved draft! I'm happy! There is still room for improvement! You all can do it!" despite all the incessant nagging, at the end of the day it really sums down to that one little motivation from the pw tutor that pushes us forward, to continue what we started in the first place. am utterly thankful for miss lee on days like this because we all know she cares so much for the class, can't imagine how sucky pw would be without her, seeing how it is already such a bleh subject on its own.

so let's just talk a little more about school since we're on it.. today was one of those days that could just be easily etched in any person's mind. it was the j2's last day at school. the atmosphere was..... i can't even describe it. plus today i finished reading my book (the wednesday letters) during pe and it was such a touching book, you know the kind with a bittersweet ending, i ended up tearing.. so the whole damn day i was just feeling super emotional i don't even know why. we didn't have lessons proper today, mostly the seniors were just having class time or they were going round taking pictures with one another. so i visited davin at the art gallery after school so i could take a look at his final work for a levels. can't say this enough, am so so proud of him and his hardwork for the past year. i couldn't take the whole thing but here's a part of it

mabel's one was beyond meaningful (pity i didn't manage to capture a picture) because mostly, her grandma has a part to play in it. like there were 2 huge paintings on the wall and then 2 projectors were screening motions of she and her gran, i cannot get over how sweet that is. i don't know why but things like that just makes my heart go soft. explains my mood today.. their last day of school, their artwork with so much sweat and effort and the book which stupidly i had to finish reading on the very same day. oh well, gonna miss having vin around in school for a long time. the silly times when we walked through a "jungle" at the back of pj and took 5 different buses just for me to get home. good ol times. they say people go but memories stay.

all school stuff aside, today i finally met best after 2 months and 2 weeks. that's like 74 days buaahaha we surprisingly survived on whatsapp for so long. we had dinner with clara at sushi tei and talked for a long time. love catching up with these girls every now and then. even though our topics revolve around the same few, it's enough to keep ourselves entertained. i guess we are doing a pretty decent job huh, in meeting up once in awhile seeing how all 3 of us are studying at different places now. the fishball is having her poly break now stupid girl while i am still stuck with pw.. just you wait! well best, i don't know when you're gonna read this, but you know i am not good with words especially when it comes to comforting you, this (even more) emotional best friend. but all the best for o levels, you know you've come this far so don't even think you are allowed to give up. we've so many to-dos over the year end break. and also have i ever mentioned to you that if poppy could be arrested for every single time she scratched me, she might have been jailed 98 times? Heehee i kid, you know i still love her like u do. last long with chinster okie dokie love u and the ball.

i could really continue typing away tonight. my thoughts go wild in the wee hours, it comes gushing into my head and i can have so much to say all of a sudden. but that's enough for now, it's 01:52am and my stomach just growled despite the huge bowl of niku ramen earlier on. i'm gonna go catch some sleep, snuggle under my blankets and wake up to strictly pancakes for brunch. till then, here's my current favourite picture with grandpa and cousies from daddy's side :)

xx
